Ohio Elevator Code Authority

The Department of Labor Elevator Inspection Section oversees all elevators in the State. The Division of Industrial Compliance serves Ohio’s citizens, workers and industrial components. To ensure a safe environment and improve the quality of life for Ohioans, the Division approves construction plans, oversees maintenance and inspects items varying from buildings to bedding, while creating a job-friendly environment.
